An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full stack developer with experience in Drupal 8 and 9 module development, React and Vue.js to join a leading provider of regulatory intelligence to the gambling and payments industries. As a full-stack developer, your key tasks would include understanding business requirements and technology challenges so as to maintain our existing suite of products and also help us deliver exciting digital transformation projects in line with the product strategy. The role will expose you to the full technology stack and will include helping to modernise the technical infrastructure to move towards an API driven architecture.

You will be reporting to the Head of Technology but will also have the opportunity to work with other team members and stakeholders across different departments of the business. You will be expected to provide advice and propose best possible solutions to solve business problems and drive business value.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Develop and manage databases and applications
  • Write effective APIs
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Create security and data protection settings
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
  • Contribute to product planning and ideate software solutions
  • Write technical documentation
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver business value

 

Skills Range

  • High level of experience using PHP frameworks (preferably Drupal)
  • High level of experience with JavaScript / jQuery / REACT / Vue.js
  • High level of experience with database technologies such as MySQL
  • High level of experience using HTML and CSS / SASS
  • Experience with NPM / Gulp and other front and workflow technologies
  • Experience with decoupled CMS
  • Experience working alongside external development teams
  • Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Familiarity with version control systems (GIT)
  • Dev & Sys Ops experience with AWS & Continuous Delivery

 

Desirable Extras

  • Experience with UX and UI design, preferably with previous examples of work
  • Experience with NoSQL technologies such as DynamoDB / MongoDB
  • Familiarity with AWS and infrastructure management tools
  • Familiarity with Vagrant / Docker / other virtualisation tools
  • Familiarity of agile development processes
