Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

July 2024

Introduction

At Vixio we are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and promoting human rights. Our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement reflects our determination to combat modern slavery, encompassing practices such as slavery, child labour, and human trafficking. These activities violate fundamental human rights and are criminal offenses. We, as a responsible business, unequivocally reject and condemn any engagement with such practices.

Scope

This statement applies to all employees, contractors, consultants or any self-employed individuals working for Vixio. It does not form part of your Contract of Employment, and Vixio reserves the right to amend or withdraw it at any time.

Our Commitment

We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and will not conduct business with any entity involved in such activities. Transparency is a cornerstone of our approach, and we are dedicated to ensuring transparency not only within our own operations but also throughout our supply chains, aligning with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Disassociation

If we discover any association with a business or individual connected to our operations engaged in, supporting, condoning, or failing to prevent modern slavery activities within their control or influence, we will immediately sever all connections. We will also assess any legal reporting obligations associated with such disassociation.

Responsibility of Individuals

Preventing, detecting, and reporting modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chains is the responsibility of all individuals associated with Vixio. Any activity that may lead to or suggest a breach of this policy must be avoided. Individuals are required to promptly notify a member of the People Team of any suspected or witnessed violation of this policy.

Reporting

We encourage individuals to report concerns related to modern slavery in our business or supply chains promptly. The People team will take such reports seriously, conduct investigations responsibly, and recommend appropriate actions in consultation with senior management.

Protection for Whistleblowers

We are committed to fostering a culture of openness and will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith, even if the concerns turn out to be mistaken. No one should face detrimental treatment for reporting suspicions of modern slavery. We prohibit any form of detrimental treatment, including dismissal or disciplinary action, connected with the reporting of concerns.

Suppliers Compliance Obligations

We expect our suppliers to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery. As part of our trading relationship, suppliers will be required to confirm compliance with all relevant legal obligations and industry best practices related to modern slavery. We reserve the right to terminate contracts with suppliers found in breach of this policy and pursue legal remedies.

Training

We require all of our people within Vixio to complete training on modern slavery as part of their onboarding training.

Our modern slavery training covers:

  • how to identify the signs of slavery and human trafficking;
  • what initial steps should be taken if slavery or human trafficking is suspected;
  • how to escalate potential slavery or human trafficking issues to the relevant parties within our organisation;
  • what external help is available, for example through the Modern Slavery Helpline, Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority and "Stronger together" initiative.

Review and Modification

This policy will be periodically reviewed to ensure its effectiveness and may be modified at Vixio’s sole discretion.
