Ohio Senate Imploring House To Quickly Pass Sports-Betting Bill

In an effort to entice the state’s House of Representatives to vote on sports-betting legislation before June 30, the Senate passed a new bill late on Thursday that includes favored status for casinos in addition to professional sports teams.

Just one week after passing an original sports-betting bill, senators attached a new version of their legislation to another bill that has already been approved by the House and sent it back over to be adopted as soon as Monday (June 28) by a single vote on the House floor without any consideration by House committees.
