In addition to being a natural storyteller, you can write investigative articles, feature stories and longer, more analytical pieces. In addition to a commitment to produce a range of written content, you are open to working across multiple formats, including audio and video. To succeed in this role, you are self-motivated, a self-starter and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
About The Role:
- Assess leads and pitch relevant/compelling story and longer-form report ideas to Editors
- Participate in broader editorial discussions around trends and coverage ideas
- Prepare and submit work that is ready for editorial approval and within deadlines
- Research and write stories/reports using data and information from multiple sources. Ensure written work is clear, concise and factual
- Adhere to the Editorial standards and guidelines
- Document and share notes and insights gleaned from interviews, events, sources with the editorial team and wider business
- Actively develop a quality network of sources to include regulators, industry experts, lawyers, etc. Create trustworthy relationships with contacts and sources for use in new research
- Stay abreast of industry trends and latest development by attending events, conferences, speaking with sources, scanning social media, reading relevant publications
- Represent Vixio at third-party events, webinars, podcasts and have a working knowledge of the broader payments compliance landscape. Develop expertise in key topical areas and jurisdictions
Candidate profile:
- BA degree in Journalism, English, Communications or relevant field
- An understanding of the payment/financial services markets and how regulation can impact it
- Minimum of three years working as a journalist, writer or analyst in financial services preferred
