Hungary: Consultation on the Draft Implementation Act of the GDPR

On August 29, 2017, the Ministry of Justice released a draft implementation act introducing amendments to the current Hungarian legislation Act CXII of 2011 on the right to information, self-determination and freedom of information (Data Protection Act) in light of the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The draft implementation act also introduced amendments to other laws, for the provisions of Directive 2016/680/EU on criminal data to be transposed into national legislation.
